In March 2013 seasonally-adjusted data, compared to February 2013, showed an increase of 1.2 percent for exports and 0.2 percent for imports. The increase, for exports, was of 0.4 percent for EU countries and 2.0 percent for non EU countries. As regards imports the rise was recorded for EU (+2.4 percent) while non EU markets decrease by -2.4 percent. Over the last three months, seasonally-adjusted data, in comparison with the previous three months, showed a fall of 0.4 percent for outgoing flows and a drop of 1.7 percent for incoming flows.
In March 2013, compared with the same month of the previous year, trade fell by 6.0 percent for exports (-9.9 percent for EU area and -1.3 percent for non EU countries) and decreased by 10.6 percent for imports (-6.9 percent for EU and -15.0 percent for non EU countries). The trade balance amounted to 3.2 billion Euro (0.6 billion Euro for EU area and 2.6 billion Euro for non EU countries).
