In the first quarter of 2013, Ghana's economy grew by 6.7 percent year-on-year, up from 6 percent in the previous quarter, but down from 10.3 percent recorded in the first three months of 2012.
Services recorded the highest growth at 12 percent, following a 13.7 percent increase in the last three months of 2012.
Agriculture increased 1.1 percent, up from 0.6 percent in the previous quarter.
The industrial sector contracted by 0.8 percent, following a 3.6 percent decline in the previous quarter.
On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the GDP shrank by 3.1 percent, as all major sectors of the economy declined.
