Year-on-year, prices accelerated for transport (1.6 percent in June of 2014 from 1.0 percent in the previous month), hotels, cafes and restaurants (2.0 percent from 1.7 percent). Meanwhile, cost of clothing and footwear fell 0.2 percent in June, following a 2.1 percent drop in May.
On the other hand, prices declined further for food and non-alcoholic beverages (-0.9 percent from -0.7 percent), furnishings and household equipment (-0.8 percent from -0.3 percent) and communications (-5.7 percent from -5.0 percent).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell 0.3 percent in June for the second consecutive month.
The harmonized annual inflation rate rose to 0.3 percent in June of 2014, a lower rate than the average of 0.5 percent in the euro zone.
