Dutch Unemployment Rate Steady in June

The seasonally adjusted jobless rate in Netherlands was unchanged at 6.9 percent in June, the same as in May and the lowest since March of 2013.

The number of unemployed persons fell by 6,000 to 611,000 in June. A year earlier, the figure was 656,000.

Employment increased by 4,000 to 8299 thousand. Year-on-year, it went up 1.33 percent. 

Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate fell slightly by 0.1 percent to 70.2 from May but increased from 69.8 percent in the previous year. 

In June of 2014, the unemployment rate was recorded at 7.4 percent.
