On a month, exports increased 1.8 percent to € 36.7 billion. Higher sales were recorded for refined oil; natural hydrocarbons, mining products and electricity; agricultural products; aerospace industry products; pharmaceuticals; industrial and agricultural machinery; and transport products. Shipments grew to the European Union (1.9 percent), and Latin America (3.1 percent).
Imports grew 2.2 percent to €42.1 billion driven by higher purchases of chemical products (5.6 percent), pharmaceutical products (7.8 percent), and automobile industry related products (2.4 percent). Imports increased from the European Union (4.3 percent) and Asia (3.0 percent).
