Spanish CPI Drops 0.4% in August


Consumer prices in Spain are expected to decline 0.4 percent year-on-year in August of 2015, down from 0.1 percent growth in the previous two months, as cost of fuels and electricity went down.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices decreased by 0.3 percent in August, compared to a 0.9 percent fall in July.

Harmonised consumer prices are also expected to decrease by 0.5 on a yearly basis, after remaining stable in July, and to decline a monthly 0.4 percent from a 1.5 percent contraction in the previous month.
