There were 2 million 867 thousand unemployed persons in July. Unemployment rate among 15 to 24 age group was recorded at 18.2 percent and non-agricultural jobless rate reached 12 percent.
The number of employed persons decreased slightly by 0.6 percent to 26 million 410 thousand persons in July from June, bringing the employment rate down to 46.3 percent. Of those who were employed in July, 22.4 percent worked in agriculture; 19.9 percent was employed in industry; 7.3 percent was employed in construction and 50.5 percent in services. Meanwhile, 36.4 percent of employed persons worked without any social security related to the main job, unchanged from June’s figure. This ratio is higher for agriculture (84 percent) and lower for the non-agricultural sector (22.7 percent).
The labor force participation rate reached 51.3 percent in July - 72.3 percent for male and 30.8 percent for female.
