Consumer prices in Germany are expected to rise 0.3 percent year-on-year in October of 2015 after being flat in the previous month and above market expectations. Prices of food and services increased at a faster pace while energy cost fell less than in the previous month.
Year-on-year, energy cost is estimated to fall 8.6 percent, following a 9.3 percent drop in September. Food prices increased 1.6 percent (1.1 percent in September) and cost of services grew 1.2 percent (1.1 percent in September).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices are estimated to be flat in October, after falling 0.2 percent in the previous month.
The harmonised consumer price index is expected to be up 0.2 percent year-on-year in October. It is not expected to change from September.
