Year-on-year, prices of unprocessed food (+4.2 percent from +3.3 percent in September) and services related to recreation (+1.5 percent from +1.1 percent in the previous month) increased at a faster pace, while prices of regulated energy products (-2 percent) and gas (-3.2 percent) decreased further.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased 0.2 percent, rebounding from a 0.4 percent fall in September. Higher prices of electricity (+2.9 percent), gas (+3.2 percent); unprocessed food (+1.8 percent) were partially offset by lower cost of non-regulated energy products (-0.8 percent) and of services related to transport (-0.7 percent).
Meanwhile, core inflation rate (excluding energy and unprocessed food) was recorded at 0.8 percent, the same rate as in the previous month.
Harmonised consumer prices increased by 3.0 percent year-on-year and by 0.5 percent on a monthly basis.
