Spain Deflation Slows in November


Consumer prices in Spain are expected to fall 0.3 percent year-on-year in November of 2015, the lowest decrease in four months and compared to a sharper 0.7 percent drop in October.

Preliminary figures compare to market expectations of a 0.5 percent decline. Year-on-year, prices of electricity increased while cost of diesel and petrol was stable. 

On a monthly basis, consumer prices are expected to rise 0.3 percent, slowing from a 0.6 percent gain in October. 

The harmonized index is estimated to fall 0.4 percent year-on-year, lower than a 0.9 percent drop in the previous month and rise 0.2 percent on a monthly basis, compared to a 0.3 percent increase in the previous month.
