South Korea Trade Surplus Reach Record High


South Korea trade surplus widened to USD 10.4 billion in November of 2015, higher than a USD 5.3 billion surplus a year earlier, the highest on record.

Exports fell 4.7 percent year-on-year to USD 44.4 billion, better than market expectations of an 8.3 percent fall while imports slumped at a faster 17.6 percent to USD 34.1 billion, worse than market forecasts of -12.8 percent.

In October of 2015, the country recorded a USD 6.7 billion trade surplus.
