Greece's construction output dropped 5.7 percent from a year earlier in the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to a 9.1 percent fall in the previous three-month period. Building activity tumbled 17.3 percent (vs -5.4 percent in Q3) while civil engineering works rose 1.6 percent (vs -11.0 percent in Q3). On a quarterly basis, construction output surged 36.7 percent, reversing an 11.1 percent decline in the previous period.
