Exports from Kenya fell 2.7 percent from a year earlier to KES 49.6 billion in August 2019, amid lower shipments of tea (-4.7 percent); chemicals (-12.7 percent); coffee (-5 percent) and fish (-16.1 percent). Conversely, overseas sales grew considerably for petroleum (641.5 percent) and horticultural products (14 percent). Exports in Kenya averaged 30526.41 Million KES from 1998 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 59405 Million KES in July of 2015 and a record low of 9007 Million KES in January of 1999.
