Kyrgyzstan Producer Inflation Rebounds in June
Producer prices in Kyrgyzstan increased 0.7 percent year-on-year in June of 2019, rebounding from a 0.8 percent drop in the previous month. Manufacturing cost rebounded (0.2 percent vs -1.6 percent in May) while prices rose faster for mining & quarrying (2.4 percent vs 1.5 percent) and water supply (5.0 percent vs 4.3 percent). Meanwhile, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning cost advanced at the same pace (2.3 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 0.7 percent, following a 0.1 percent gain in the previous month.

Producer prices in Kyrgyzstan decreased 0.8 percent yer-on-year in May of 2019, following a 1.8 percent fall in the prior month. Prices went down for manufacturing (-1.6 percent vs -1.1 percent in April) and they slowed for water supply (4.3 percent vs 5.5 percent). Meantime, cost advanced at the same pace for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (2.3 percent). In contrast, prices rebounded for mining & quarrying (1.5 percent vs -17.6 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices went up 0.1 percent, after declining 1.9 percent in the previous month.

Producer prices in Kyrgyzstan went down 1.8 percent year-on-year in April of 2019, following a 1.2 percent rise in the prior month. It was the steepest decrease in producer prices since October, as cost fell for mining & quarrying (-17.6 percent vs 0.2 percent in March), led by prices of crude oil & natural gas (-2.9 percent vs -3.7 percent) and coal & lignite (0.5 percent vs 9.3 percent); and also manufacturing (-1.1 percent vs 1.1 percent). In addition, prices slowed for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (2.3 percent vs 2.4 percent) and water supply (5.5 percent vs 5.7 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices declined 1.9 percent, after increasing 0.3 percent in the previous month.

Producer prices in Kyrgyzstan advanced 1.2 percent year-on-year in March of 2019, easing from a 1.3 percent gain in the prior month. Prices went up at a slower pace for manufacturing (1.1 percent from 1.5 percent in February), mainly due to food & tobacco (0.6 percent from 1.3 percent), basic metals (1.3 percent from 1.5 percent) and pharmaceutical products (-19.8 percent from -0.8 percent) and for mining & quarrying (0.2 percent from 2.9 percent). On the other hand, cost increased faster for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (2.4 percent from 0.1 percent) and for water supply (5.7 percent from 0.2 percent).
