The seasonally adjusted manufacturing confidence index in Mexico increased to 51.3 in February 2019 from an upwardly revised 51.1 in the previous month. It was the strongest reading since November 2014, as assessment improved regarding the country's economic situation (49.1 from 48.5); and the company's (53.8 from 53.7). Also, expectations increased concerning the company's situation (59.5 from 59.3). On the other hand, sentiment deteriorated regarding investment (39.8 from 39.6); and the country's future economic situation (52.9 from 53.1). Business Confidence in Mexico averaged 51.18 Index Points from 2004 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 58.10 Index Points in February of 2007 and a record low of 33.70 Index Points in February of 2009.
Business Confidence in Mexico is expected to be 50.30 Index Points by the end of this quarter, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations.
