Montenegro Current Account Deficit Widens in Q2
Montenegro's current account gap widened to EUR 327.6 million in the second quarter of 2019 from EUR 315.0 million in the same period of 2018. The goods shortfall increased to EUR 582.1 million from EUR 573.1 million a year earlier while the primary income account recorded a deficit of a EUR 3.9 million, switching from a EUR 14.1 million surplus. On the other hand, the services surplus rose to EUR 184.9 million from EUR 179.3 million and the secondary income surplus advanced to EUR 73.5 million from EUR 64.7 million.

Montenegro Current Account Deficit Widens in Q1
Montenegro's current account deficit widened to EUR 317.6 million in the first quarter of 2019 from EUR 303.6 million in the same period of the previous year. The goods shortfall increased to EUR 409.2 million from EUR 389.3 million a year earlier and the primary income surplus narrowed to EUR 9.4 million from EUR 11.9 million. On the other hand, the services surplus rose to EUR 25.8 million from EUR 18.0 million and the secondary income surplus advanced to EUR 56.4 million from 55.9 million.

Montenegro Current Account Gap Falls in Q4
Montenegro's current account deficit narrowed to EUR 374.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2018 from EUR 376.4 million in the same quarter of the previous year. Both the primary income (EUR 31.4 million from EUR 17.6 million) and the secondary income (EUR 80.4 million from EUR 65.2 million) surpluses widened. In contrast, the goods deficit increased to EUR 525.2 million from EUR 504.1 million and the services surplus narrowed to EUR 38.9 million from EUR 45 million.
