The unemployment rate in Poland fell to 5.7 percent in September 2018 from 5.8 percent in the previous month and below market expectations of 5.8 percent. It remained the lowest jobless rate since October 1990, as the number of registered unemployed declined by 9.7 thousand to 948.9 thousand. A year earlier the unemployment rate was higher at 6.8 percent. Unemployment Rate in Poland averaged 12.92 percent from 1990 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 20.70 percent in February of 2003 and a record low of 0.30 percent in January of 1990.
