Slovak March Jobless Rate at Over 1-Year High of 5.2%
The unemployment rate in Slovakia rose to 5.2 percent in March of 2020 from 5.0 percent in the same month of the previous year but slightly below market expectations of 5.3 percent. It was the highest jobless rate since February of 2019, as the number of unemployed persons went up by 5,031 from a year ago to 142,993. In February, the jobless rate was slightly lower at 5.1 percent.
