Tourist arrivals in Slovenia increased 13.2 percent from a year earlier to 690,316 in June 2019, following a downwardly revised 0.4 percent rise in the previous month. Domestic tourists generated more than 152,800 arrivals in June and were up 4.1 percent year-on-year, while foreign tourists generated more than 537,400 arrivals (up 16.1 percent year-on-year). Among foreigners, arrivals rose from Germany (50.3 percent) and Austria (34.9 percent), but fell from Italy (-4.4 percent). Meantime, overnight stays increased 10 percent year-on-year to 1.679 million in June. Tourist Arrivals in Slovenia averaged 342929.24 from 2008 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 990400 in August of 2018 and a record low of 153320 in January of 2008.
