Tourist arrivals in Vietnam rose by 10.7 percent from a year earlier to 1.32 million in July 2019, as visitors increased from Asia (12.2 percent), mostly from China (0.6 percent), South Korea (27.4 percent), Taiwan (30.9 percent), and Japan (13.9 percent); Europe (5.4 percent), namely from Russia (9.4 percent), the UK (1.4 percent), and Germany (5.6 percent); and America (13.4 percent), mainly from the US (13.7 percent). Meantime, arrivals from Australia fell 6.1 percent. Considering the first seven months of the year, tourist arrivals increased by 7.9 percent from a year ago to 9.8 million.
