Vietnam Foreign Tourist Arrivals Rise 24.4% in December
Tourist arrivals in Vietnam were up 24.4 percent from a year earlier to 1.71 million in December 2019, with visitors increasing from Asia (28.9 percent), mostly from China (37.7 percent), South Korea (30.9 percent), Taiwan (25.1 percent), and Japan (12.8 percent); Europe (7.1 percent), namely from Russia (11.8 percent), France (4.2 percent), and Germany (2.8 percent); and America (12.1 percent), mainly from the US (13.5 percent). Meanwhile, visitors from Australia continued to fall (-4.3 percent). Considering 2019 full year, tourist arrivals increased 16.2 percent from a year ago to an all-time high of 18.0 million.

Vietnam Tourist Arrivals Hit Fresh Record High in November
Tourist arrivals in Vietnam jumped 39 percent from a year earlier to a new record high of 1.81 million in November 2019. Visitors increased from Asia (47.6 percent), mostly from China (77.1 percent), South Korea (24.1 percent), Taiwan (37.5 percent), and Japan (18.8 percent); Europe (13.4 percent), namely from Russia (16.8 percent), the UK (9.4 percent), France (11.9 percent), and Germany (11.2 percent); and America (10.2 percent), mainly from the US (19 percent); but fell from Australia (-1.1 percent). Considering the January to November period, tourist arrivals increased by 15.4 percent from a year ago to 16.3 million.

Vietnam Tourist Arrivals Soar to a Fresh Record High in October
Tourist arrivals in Vietnam jumped 34.3 percent from a year earlier to a new record high of 1.62 million in October 2019. Visitors increased from Asia (41.2 percent), mostly from China (60.9 percent), South Korea (19 percent), Taiwan (44 percent), and Japan (23 percent); Europe (7.3 percent), namely from Russia (1.9 percent), the UK (13.6 percent), France (8.1 percent), and Germany (8.2 percent); America (10.2 percent), mainly from the US (11.4 percent); and Australia (3.6 percent). Considering the January to October period, tourist arrivals increased by 13 percent from a year ago to 14.5 million.
