The goods account surplus increased to USD 5,523 million from USD 3,627 million as exports rose at a faster pace while imports fell. Meantime, the services gap narrowed to USD 1,199 million from USD 1,427 million and the secondary account surplus rose to USD 557 million from USD 355 million.
