Producer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina rose by 3.1 percent over a year earlier in May of 2021, following a 2.5 percent jump in the previous month. It was the highest producer inflation rate since October of 2018, driven by both faster price increases in manufacturing (3.4 percent vs 2.8 in March) and in mining & quarrying (5.0 percent vs 3.5 percent). As for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply prices have remained unchanged (0.0 percent vs 0.1 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 0.5 percent, after going down 0.2 percent in the previous month.

Producer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina fell 0.8 percent over a year earlier in August 2020, following a 0.7 percent drop in the previous month. Cost of mining & quarrying declined (-1.7 percent vs 0.2 percent in July), while manufacturing prices continued to fall (-1.2 percent, the same as in July). In contrast, inflation was steady for electricity, gas, steam & air conditioning supply (at 1.3 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices were flat for the second consecutive month.
