The annual WPI manufacturing in India dropped to 3.37 in December 2022 from 3.59 percent in the previous month, pointing to the lowest print since November 2020. Prices eased for food products (4.28% vs 4.44% in November), tobacco (1.48% vs 3.96%), paper (4.96% vs 8.31%), chemicals (5.41% vs 6.52%), and pharmaceuticals (3.73% vs 3.96%). In addition, cost of textiles fell 0.57% after rising 1.59% previously. Food Articles from the Primary Articles Group account for 15.2 percent of the total weight.
