Luxembourg Producer Inflation at Record-High
Luxembourg’s producer prices rose 32.4 percent year-on-year in May of 2022, the highest on record, and picking up from the upwardly revised 29 percent in the previous month. Costs rose the most for intermediate goods (49.8 percent), followed by energy (17.4 percent), consumer goods (5.7 percent), and equipment goods (3.1 percent). On a monthly basis, producer costs rose by 4.1 percent, easing from the 5.2 percent jump in the previous month.

Luxembourg Producer Inflation Eases in February
Luxembourg’s producer prices rose 25 percent year-on-year in February of 2022, easing from an upwardly revised 26 percent in the previous month. Prices rose at a slower pace for intermediate goods (38.6 percent vs 41.3 percent in January) and consumer goods (4.8 percent vs 4.5 percent), while prices accelerated for energy (17.5 percent vs 17 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 2.9 percent, picking up from the upwardly revised 1.8 percent rise in January.
