Tourist arrivals in Macau fell 52.6 percent from a year earlier to 389,390 in December 2022, following a 54.3 percent slump in the previous month. Overnight visitors (229,445) and same-day visitors (159,945) fell by 41.8 percent and 62.5 percent from a year ago, respectively. As regards the source of visitors, the number of visitors from mainland China slid by 55.9% year-on-year to 336,593. Meanwhile, visitors' average stay length was increased by 0.6 days to 2.1 days, with that of overnight visitors (3.6 days) and same-day visitors (0.2 days).
