Visitor arrivals in Macau soared 255.4 percent year-on-year to 754,541 in March of 2021, after a 173.1 percent surge in the previous month, the second consecutive month of increases as the Macanese government allowed foreign tourists into Macau for the first time since the pandemic halted international travel last year. Overnight visitors and same-day visitors soared 221.6 percent and 304.6 percent, respectively. Visitors from Mainland China were up 674.4 percent to 688,353, with 268,302 traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme (up 3,838 percent from last year).
