The manufacturing production in Netherlands declined by 2% from a month earlier in November of 2022, following a marginally revised 0.3% drop in the prior month. It was the largest contraction since August 2021, as output fell for machinery (-5.7% vs 1.3% in October), electronics (-3.9% vs -0.7%), chemical products (-2.7% vs -4.1%) and transport (-1.8% vs -1.6%). At the same time, output for repair and installation rose 0.5%, easing sharply from a 17.1% gain a month earlier. Meanwhile, output rebounded for rubber and plastic industry (0.5% vs -3.1%), food (1.1% vs -1.7%) and metal products (0.7% vs -0.3%).
