New Zealand Manufacturing Sales Fall the Most in 2 Years
Manufacturing sales in New Zealand declined 7.4 percent from a year earlier in the second quarter of 2022, the most in two years, after an upwardly revised 3.6 percent decrease in the previous period. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, total manufacturing sales fell by 4.9 percent. The largest industry movements were petroleum and coal products (down 99 percent), meat and dairy products (up 8.2 percent) and beverage and tobacco products (up 11 percent).
