GDP in Mainland Norway Unexpectedly Grows in September
The GDP for mainland Norway, which excludes the largely petroleum-based offshore sector, expanded by 0.4 percent from a month earlier in September 2022, easily beating market expectations of a 0.3 percent contraction. It followed an upwardly revised 0.7 percent advance in August. Considering Q3, the economy expanded 0.8 percent, driven by the service industries and especially in wholesale trade.
