The National Bank of Tajikistan left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 13.25% during its May of 2022 meeting, saying an accommodative monetary policy stance remained appropriate, while ensuring that inflation remains within the target going forward. The country's annual inflation rate accelerated to 7.3 percent in March of 2022 from 7.1 percent in February, within the central bank's target range of 4-8%.
